With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas McEwen Howatt (Sackville, New Brunswick), who passed away on February 20, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Howatt and Rita Howatt (McEwen); and his siblings, Burt (Eileen), Bill (May), Lou (Vivian) and Joyce Constable (Bud).

He is survived by: his wife Winnifred (Win); his children, Susan Wheaton (Colin), DJ and Paul (Cathy); his grandchildren, Matthew, Rebekah, Jesse (Lauren), Tim and Madi; and his great grandchild Julia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
