He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Alder; and his nephew Chad. He is survived by: his mother Audrey Alder (Polley); his sons, Catlin, Cass and Derrick; his siblings, David (Margaret) of Port Elgin, Amherst of Port Elgin, Dale (Kathy) of Port Elgin, Dwight of Port Elgin, Darrel of Port Elgin, Douglas (Tracey) of Port Elgin, Donald of Port Elgin, Darren of Port Elgin, Darlene Kenny (Arthur) of Port Elgin, Darla Alder (Kevin Wall) of Port Elgin and Deanna Legere (Lance) of Port Elgin; and his close friend Gloria Throop. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
