He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hamilton and Mary Hamilton (Ermen); and his former wife Geraldine. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Cathy, Karen (Kurt), Jeff (Charline) and Michael (Nathalie); his stepsons, Allan and Christopher Thurrott (Sharon); his brothers, Frank (Judy), Peter and Danny; his cousin John Ermen; his grandchildren, Renée Bourgeois-Mazerolle (Stephen), Danielle Bourgeois (Mel), Ashley Wallace (Nick), Emma Hamilton (Ryan), Ryan Cobb, Cory Hamilton, Sydney, Alex Cobb (Jen), David Hamilton, Kallie Thurrott, Sophie Hamilton, Waylon Thurrott and Louis Hamilton; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Ève, Indie, Sam and Benji. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law.
Following the sale of his company, he drove cars for auction companies until the Covid Pandemic… which, according to Bill "forced my retirement at, the young age of 83".
