He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Benoit and Charlotte Benoit (Deyoung); his wife Doris (Drisdelle); his sons, Francis and Timothy'Tim'; his grandson Philippe-André; and his former wife Audrey.
He is survived by: his children, Léonard (Claudette) of Timmins, ON, Antoine'Tony' (Deborah) of Moncton, Gerald'Gerry' (Marlene) of Moncton, Charlotte (René Allain) of Orleans, ON, Claudette (Charlie Mayberry) of New Horton and Roger of Shediac; and his grandchildren, Jean-Francois, Jason (Kim), Bradley (Shannon), Rachelle (Wade), Elizabeth, Francine (Rej), Aline (Herman), Marie (André), Peter (Estelle), Louis (Darlene), Marc, Pierre (Melissa), Diane (Israel), Yvette, Raymond (Véronique), Stéphanie (Mike) and Christopher (Nadia). He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, six sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
