She was predeceased by: her parents, John McMackin and Annie McMackin (Quirk); her husband Joe Doherty; and her siblings, Helen St. Arnaud, Lawrence, Clarence and Ray McMackin.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Ed Doherty Pointe (Mary), Jo-Ann Thorburn (Ray), AB, Karen LeBlanc (Paul), Margie Lamb Halifax (Peter) and Frances; her grandchildren, Teresa Caplice (Michael), Robert Hynes (Beth), Catherine Bussey (Jason), Andrew Thorburn (Michelle), Annie Amirault (André), Jill Ellsworth (Josh), Darci Reece (Stu), Derek (Courtney), Corey LeBlanc, Meghan (Shawn Smith), Kealin Lamb (Tom Alexander) and Sarah Fournier (Hannah); and her great grandchildren, Dennis, Sam, Sophie, Layla Caplice, Emmerson, Greyson Hynes, Theo, Everett, Jude Bussey, Kiefer Thorburn, Gracie, Luc Amirault, Brooky, Gavin, Rowan, Camryn Ellsworth, Jenson, Lennon Reece, Margot, Regan LeBlanc and Beckett Fournier.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre (214 Pine Glen Rd, Riverview, NB E1B1V6). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church (5 Fatima Dr, Riverview, NB E1B2X8).

Donations in memory of Marion made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
