He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald McLaughlin and Freda McLaughlin (Black); his wife Sandra "Sandy" (Lutz); his son Douglas Robert "Bobby"; his brothers, Charles and Robert McLaughlin; his great grandchild Samara McLaughlin; and his siblings-in-law, Annie Sprague (Lutz), Ruth Cole (Lutz), Kathleen Wilmot (Lutz), David Lutz, Allen Snider, Harry Crossman and Clarence Sprague.
He is survived by: his children, David Gerald McLaughlin of Parkindale, NB and Tammy Lynn Kingston of Miramichi, NB; his grandchildren, Scott McLaughlin (Melissa), Kelly Lake (Tyler), Anne McLaughlin, Jonathan Kingston (Camryn), Jacob and Tyler McLaughlin; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Hunter, Damien, Cameron, Jaiden, Kaeson and Kenna; his brother Allen McLaughlin (Ethel); and his siblings-in-law, Daphne McLaughlin, Sharon Crossman and Allen Wilmot. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:50 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Fair Haven Funeral Home & Cemetery (1177 Salisbury Rd, Moncton, NB E1E3V9). A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Fair Haven Cemetery (1177 Salisbury Rd, Moncton, NB E1E3V9).
