He was predeceased by: his parent Elvin Bannister; and his sister Myrtle Lounsbury. He is survived by: his parent Neta Bannister (Smith); his wife Elsie (Symes); his son Darren Elvin (Phyllis); his grandchildren, Morgan, Zachary, Shiajan and Joshua; his great grandchildren, Ronin, Harlyn, Keegan, Maverick, Kayden, Makyah and Maddy; and his sister Maude Fawcett Colpitts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
