She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Sparks and Alice Sparks (Blackier); her sister Lori; and her stepdaughter Tina. She is survived by: her husband Garnet Ackerson; her children, Tobi (Rob) and Darren (Tricia); her stepdaughters, Kelly (Tim) and Jackie (Dave); her grandchildren, Brandon (Emma), Ethan, Evan, Timara (Mike) and Kelsy (Justin); and her siblings, Sheila (Eric), Mary Louise (Wayne), Gary (Susan), Karen (Garbor), Sharon Freeze and Lisa Gesner. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Donations in honor of Doreen can be made to the Minto Elementary School Breakfast Club, Fredericton Hospice House or to the charity of the donor's choice.
