He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentin Maillet and Suzanne Maillet (Zion); and his siblings, Freddie, Ferris, Ernest, Edgar, Laurette Mazerolle and Rosie Maillet.

He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Donald Maillet of St. Petersburg and Alveta Bastarache (Gerard) of Clearwater; his grandson Marc Bastarache (Kimberly) of New Port Richey; and his brother Zoel Maillet (Diana) of Richibucto.
