René Maillet Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved René Maillet of Richibouctou-Village, New Brunswick, who passed away, on December 27, 2020. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Théotime Maillet and Alma Maillet (Arsenault); and his siblings, Emilien, Zoël (Melba), Henri (Genéva) of Ste-Anne, Antoine, Mabel, Evangeline, Marie (Gérard), Elmire (Ray) and Délima (Hector).

He is survived by: his siblings, Guy (Lina) of Memramcook and Doris Leger (Henri) of Richibouctou-Village; his nephew Hector Dunn (Juliette) of Richibouctou-Village; and his brother-in-law Eymard Thibodeau (Fidélice) of Dieppe. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

René was born in Richibouctou-Village during the Spanish Flu pandemic, which was present in the village at the time of his birth and the Lord came to take him to his eternal home during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

If so desired, donations made to the St-Antoine-de-Padoue Roman Catholic Church in René's memory would be appreciated by the family.
