He was predeceased by: his parents, John McKay and Helen McKay (Cruikshank); and his siblings, Ian, Margaret and Eva.
He is survived by: his spouse Pearl McKay (DeBow); his children, Bill (Wendy), Doug (Joanne), Peter, Michael, Cheryl Deasington and Deborah Milton (Lawrence Cody); and also Wing. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great–grandchildren and 2 great–great–grandchildren.
