He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McAllister and Dorothy McAllister (Steeves). He is survived by: his wife Deborah (Ryder); his daughters, Michelle McAllister (Gilles Gauthier) and Misty Glaspy (Stephen); his grandchildren, Jacob (Caitlyn), Jayme (Andrew), Cortney, Cayla and Caleb; his siblings, Evelyn Smith (Mac), Jim (Carol), June McGivern and Cindy Embro (Tom); and his sisters-in-law, Dareth Thorne (Reg) and Alda Ryder (Don Douthwright). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
