He was predeceased by: his sister Thelma Phillips (Gauvin). He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Gauvin (Crisp); his children, Shaun Gauvin of Quispamsis and Denise Gauvin of Quispamsis; his granddaughter Samantha Gauvin-Trecartin of Woodstock, NB; and his sisters, Freda Gallant (Gauvin) of Dieppe and Stella Gauvin of St. Petersburg, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

For those who wish, donations in memory of Sam to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue, or a charity of the donor's choice, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
