He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Wheaton and Hazel Wheaton (Earle); his wife Marie Wheaton (Tweedie); his brother Eugene Wheaton; and his granddaughter Melanie Ganong.
He is survived by: his close friend Sharon Thomas of Saint John; his children, Beverley Smith (Fred) of Collina, NB, Holly Ganong (David) of Erb's Cove, NB and Mark Wheaton (Cristi) of Erb's Cove, NB; his grandchildren, Carla King, Brent King, Bonnie Pinet (Justin), Ben Ganong (Christina), Adam Ganong (Audrey), Chris Wheaton (Elizabeth), Tim Wheaton (Christina) and Destiny Wheaton (Jason); his great grandchildren, Jessica, Jena, Jaden, Bronwyn, Beau, Beatrys, Nathan, Noah, Krynn, Makynleigh, Lilianna, Ivy, Cali and Riviera; his great great grandchildren, Delilah Rae, Liam and Jaxson; and his brother Roland Wheaton of Quispamsis, NB. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
