He was predeceased by: his parents, Luit Schyf and Geertruda Schyf (Fischer); his sister Sonja Edgar; and also Donald Edgar. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Schyf; his sons, Andrew (Ronda), Kevin (Michelle) and Stephen (Christine); his brother Edward (Heather); his grandchildren, Kaleb, Olivia, Clara, Abigail and Julia; and his brother-in-law Rod Reid. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
