She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Johnston and Rose Johnston (Lord); and her daughter Darlene Carson (Wayne). She is survived by: her sons, Allen Gowan (Elaine) of St. Stephen, Jamie Gowan (Roselle) of Fredericton and Richard Gowan (Cindy) of Rothesay; and her sisters, Helena Tibbs and Jackie Daly. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
Interment will take place immediately after the reception at the Lower Elmsville Historical Cemetery, Elmsville N.B.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lupus Foundation, Diabetic Foundation or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
