She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Spires and Jean Spires (Brown). She is survived by: her husband Gary; her children, John (Peggy), Stephen (Patty), Neil (Stacey), Susan Dow and Barbara James; and her brother Melvin Spires (Merla). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd. (23 Main St, St Stephen, NB E3L1Y9). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd. (23 Main St, St Stephen, NB E3L1Y9).
