He was predeceased by: his parent Charles Richard; his son Joseph; and his siblings, Florine, Leonard and Cyrille.
He is survived by: his parent Lea Richard (Daigle); his wife Noella; his children, Marc (Janice Schofield-Richard), André (Sophie), Simon, Eve and Luc; and his siblings, Antoinette Richard of Sainte-Anne, Elodiane Leger (Armand) of Cocagne, Zella Martin (Richard) of Baie-Sainte, Gabriella Leger of Dieppe and Alfred of Pointe-Sapin. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
If so desired, donations in memory of Vital may be made to the Saint-Joseph parish or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
