It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathryn Yvonne Hilder of Petitcodiac, New Brunswick, born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 18, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Johnston and Florence Johnston (Stephenson); her husband Rev. Harold Hilder; her son David; her sister Geraldine; and her daughter-in-law Lynn Hilder.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Buckingham (John), John (Beverly), Bruce (Marie Bibianne), Peter (Karen Ward) and Robert (Eloise Boucher); her grandchildren, Allison Hill (Mike Basque), Christopher, Jeremy, Kathryn (Katie), Alexander, Jacob, Luke Hilder, Jillian, Naomi Buckingham and Amanda Lavigne (Jason Nash); and her sister-in-law Eileen McConville. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McAdam's Funeral Home (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7). A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Fernhill Cemetery (200 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2E7).
