He is survived by: his wife Carol (Miller); his children, Laura Hunter (Norman) of Sackville, NB, Sandra Kelly (Doug) and Bruce Munro; his grandchildren, Ben and Natasha Hunter (Martin); his great grandchildren, Zachary and Avery; his grandchildren, Hannah Hunter, Jarvis Kelly (Kendra MacDougall) and Jacey Kelly (Chad Gale); and his sister Matilda McQuinn (Munro). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, Friends of the Jordan LifeCare Centre, or a charity of choice.
