She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorne Surrett and Lula May Surrett (Parsons); her son Mark Wylie; and her siblings, Mary, Carolyn, Garda, Clifford and Allan.
She is survived by: her husband Peter Oates; her children, Kim Downey (Alex) of Ontario and Adam Wylie of Ontario; her grandchildren, Cameron, Ryan, Emily, Isabella, Brooklyn and Julia; and her brothers, Larry Surrett (Sheila), David Surrett and Harold Surrett (Della). She is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.
