Donald Nye Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Nye of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, born in Gordonsville, New Brunswick, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hanford Nye and Elizabeth Nye (Giggie); his former wife Flora (Inman); his siblings, Madeline Burlock, Jean Clark, Eldon, Harold, Warren and Fred; and also Andrew Hanson.
He is survived by: his children, Malcolm (Yvonne), Rayma (Jamie Price) and Jason (Chanda); his grandchildren, Rebekah, Tomi, Samuel, Benjamin, Jacob, Gracie, Matthew, Elise and Andrew; his friend Kay Hanson; and also, John Hanson (Erica), Peter Hanson (Chauna), David Hanson (Cindy) and Ruth Francis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Perth-Andover Wesleyan Church (1177 W Riverside Dr, Perth-Andover, NB E7H5G6). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. During COVID, Donald built a diorama of a log yard representing where he spent his winters in northern Maine.
