He was predeceased by: his father David "Chum" DeMerchant; his grandparents, Vernon, Theresa O'Neal and Harold "Junior" DeMerchant; and his stepsister Erica Dawn DeMerchant.
He is survived by: his mother Lois DeMerchant (O'Neal); his stepfather Jeff DeMerchant; his children, Lily Nadeau, Landen DeMerchant of Hartland, NB, Abigail DeMerchant of Perth-Andover, NB and Ellie DeMerchant of Perth-Andover, NB; his grandson Finley; his grandmother Ellen DeMerchant of Red Rapids, NB; and his half-brother Jeremy Broad of Bath, NB. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
