He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry "Bob" and Josephine DeLeavey (Pickard); and his brothers, Gary and Brent DeLeavey. He is survived by: his common-law partner Rachel Sirois; his daughters, Sedeyice Nichols (Robert) of Florenceville-Bristol, NB and Sydney Taylor of Moncton, NB; his stepchildren, Robin Cormier of Grand Falls, NB and Benjamin Cormier of Fredericton, NB; his granddaughter Jolie St-Amand; his siblings, Colleen Inman (Paul) of Crombie Settlement, NB and Lance DeLeavey (Solange) of Crombie Settlement, NB; and his sister-in-law Violet DeLeavey of Linton Corner, NB..

A celebration of Benny's life will be held at a later date, once the restrictions associated with Covid-19 have been lifted.
