She was predeceased by: her mother Phyllis Abell; and her sons, Thomas Pelkey and Ian Pelkey. She is survived by: her son Gerald Pelkey of Fredericton, NB; her grandchildren, Cameron Pelkey, Matthew Pelkey, Joshua Pelkey and Lauren Pelkey; and her daughter-in-law Merridy Pelkey of Carlingford, NB. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
