He was predeceased by: his parent David Stewart; and his siblings, Norman, Glen, Dorothy and Laura.

He is survived by: his spouse Janice Stewart (Moses) of Pennfield, NB.; his parent Elsie Stewart (Baxter); his children, Mona Swanston (Kirk) of Pennfield, Lisa Murray (Rick) of Pennfield, Jeff Stewart (Sari) of Pennfield and Susan Cooke (Jeff) of Back Bay, NB; his grandchildren, Stephanie Rose (Duane), Pam Rose, Jessica Rose, Alice Rose and Ella Rose; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Abigail, Jenna and Noah; his siblings, Edna Koteff (Toots), Ethel Gray, William Stewart (Margaret) and Joanne Acton (John); his sister-in-law Mary Stewart; and his son Joey Scammell. He is also survived by husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.
