He was predeceased by: his parent Catherine Owens (Hogan). He is survived by: his parent Leo B. Owens; his sons, Chris (Alicia), Brent (Tammy) and Kyle; and his siblings, Leo Owens (Marilyn), Marilyn Acker (Barrie), Sharon Best and Carol Chappelle (Al). He is also survived by five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
