He was predeceased by: his parents, Fergus McLean and Hannah McLean; his wife Chrisola McLean; his son Robert Henry McLean Jr.; and his close friend Diane Carmichael.
He is survived by: his sons, Angus McLean (Linda Cooper), Randy McLean (Darlene), Keith McLean (Shelley) and Shawn McLean (Penny); his grandchildren, Ashley (Andrew), Jeff (Sarah), Deigan (Misty) and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Telissa, Aili, Jade, Sterling Rose, Adeline, Annabelle and Benjamin; and his sisters, Anna Finnamore (Cyril) and Margaret Boutlier.
