She was predeceased by: her parent Franz Luig; her brothers, Franz Luig and Albert Luig; and her sister-in-law Marlis Luig. She is survived by: her parent Theresa Luig (Mertens); her husband Gerry Sr.; her children, Claudia Jr (Peter Kilfoy) and Gerry Jr.; her grandchild Jarod Collins; her child Rody; her siblings-in-law, Annetraud Luig, Raymond (Marie), Shirley Baird Garnet (Violet), John (Irene), Malcolm (Barb) and Eric Francis; and her cousin Germany.
Donations in Maria's memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
