He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Toole and Alma Toole (Wood); his wife Josephine; his brothers, Fred and Karl; and his sisters-in-law, Fran and Gladys.

He is survived by: his children, Tim Toole and Melodie Dickson (James); his granddaughters, Blake and Lily Dickson; his brothers, Philip (Cheryl Bulmer), Chris (Barb), Terry (Irene) and Donald Toole (Mary); and his sister-in-law Sue Toole. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
