She was predeceased by: her parent Edward Reader; and her daughter Edris Smith. She is survived by: her parent Leona Reader (Johnson); her children, Linwood Smith (Linda) of Tracy, NB, Alden Smith (Karen) of Hoyt, NB and Tobi Patterson (Mark) of Brighton, ON; her grandchildren, Allison Sewell (Kevin), Ashley Shannon (Jayme), Jeremy Smith (Andrea), Holly Tibbits (Derrick) and Gina Patterson; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Ava, Hannah Sewell, Kadance, Greyson Smith, Wesley and Jaxon Tibbits; her sister Violet Appleby (Carl) of Cambridge Narrows, NB; and her husband Newton Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
