He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Poirier and Margaret Poirier (LaViolette); his son Frank Poirier; and his siblings, Leo Poirier, Joe Poirier and Anita Wedge.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Josephine "Josie" (Dugay); his children, Brian Poirier (Nancy), Wayne Poirier, Christine Stewart (Ed), Wendy Quinn (Rick Arsenault) and Karen Ellsworth (Lloyd); and his sisters, Delia Shields and Sylvia Aylward (Gerald). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
