He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Connell (Vantassel) and Matthew Connell; his wife Louise; his siblings, Marie Lingley, William and Garrett Connell; and his parents-in-law, William Finlay and Elizabeth Finlay.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Connell (Marilyn), Michele Ross (Norman), David Connell and Paul Connell (Robin); his grandchildren, Robyn, Crystal, Andrew, Sara, Kaetlin, Maghan, Erik and Darren; his great grandchildren, Emily and Tayze; and his siblings, Rosalie Savoy and Wayne Connell.
