He was predeceased by: his wife Una Saunders (Davis); his parents, Gilbert Saunders and Elizabeth Saunders (Broomfield); his children, Donald and Margaret; and his grandson Andy.
He is survived by: his son Ed Saunders (Vernice); and his grandchildren, Edward, Donald Saunders, Una Williams and Batten Broomfield. He is also survived by great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many extended family members and good friends.
