He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jack Lindsay and Elsie Lindsay; his wife Carol Lindsay (Bonnar); his children, John (Ruth), Dianna (Roger) and Ted (Eleanor); and his grandchildren, Shannon, Karen, Scott, Jeff, Curt, Chris and Andrew. He was also cherished by thirteen great-grandchildren.
