He was predeceased by: his brother Irvin Weir; his parents, Robert Weir and Laura Smith; his parent-in-law Roy Barkhouse; and also Rita Barkhouse.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Barkhouse Weir of Oromocto, NB; his children, Jason Weir (Natalie) and Leeanne Weir; his grandchildren, Ethan Weir, Laura Weir, Alexis Weir and Sarah Weir; his brothers, Lawrence Weir (Thelma), Paul Weir (Debbie) and Keith Weir (Anne); and his brother-in-law Bill Barkhouse Port (Linda).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David's memory to St. Francis of Assisi Parish Building Fund.
