Alexander Hillier Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2024, at the age of 88, Alexander Hillier (Oromocto, New Brunswick), born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hillier and Lucy Hillier (Crews); his parents-in-law, Everett and Alice Cavanaugh; his siblings, Clyde, Howard, Maurice Hillier, Cora Hillier, Meta Casey, Pearl McDonald, Daisy Noble and Clifford; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Cavanaugh, Maurice Casey, Raymond McDonald, Edward Noble, Nelson Bragg and Vic Hollywood; and his nephew Douglas McDonald.

He is survived by: his wife Amelia (Cavanaugh); his children, Sharon Hillier Fredericton (Earle Banks), Nancy Cashin Lincoln (Neil), Brenda Ames (David), AB, Cheryl Hogan Geary (Ed) and Alexander (Sandy); his grandson Sean Banks (Kate); his children, Kathleen Banks (Ronan), Jordan Stewart (Danielle), Ryan Cashin, Curtis Ames (Leah), Darren Ames, Kimberley Ames, Haley Ames (Mario), Jennifer Hogan (Jordan Harris), Meghan, Skylar and Jayden Hillier; his great grandchildren, Connor, Ethan Banks, Deven, Alexis and Nicholas Stewart; his grandchildren, Campbell Harris and Wyatt Ames; his siblings, Joe Hillier (Pearl), Ernest Hillier (Betty), Mary Bragg, Lil Dolomont (Bob), Lyn Ballam (Bob) and Sharon Lantz (Hector); and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Cavanaugh (Camillus), Betty Hillier and Wanda Hollywood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
