Downey (Oak Bay, New Brunswick), born in St Stephen, New Brunswick, who passed away on October 23, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Kenneth and Daisy May Smith; her husband Donald Downey; and her great grandchild Cassandra Downey. She is survived by: her sons, Steven Downey (Brenda) of Fredericton, Murray Downey (Melody) of Saint John, Larry Downey (Debbie) of St. Stephen, Allan Downey (Janet) of St. Stephen and Mark Downey (Tanya) of St. Stephen; and her grandchildren, Karen, Michael, Christopher, Amanda, Ryan, Geoff, Erica, Bradley, Allana and Maddy. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #9, Charlotte County Hospital Foundation or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
