He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Cleghorn and Bertha Cleghorn (MacDonald); his daughter Trudy Cleghorn; and his siblings, Donald, Allan and Dorothy Cancro.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Cleghorn (Richardson); his children, Alexander Jr. (Toni) of Powell River, BC, Judy Cleghorn of Oak Bay, Allan Cleghorn (Wendy) of Bayside and Cindy Jordan (Leslie) of Lawrence Station; his grandchildren, Brandi, Ashlee, Ronnie (Jaime), Sarah, Kim, Loretta (Rick), Sheldon (Carrie), Anthony (Dean), Tiffany (Colin), Nicole (Lance) and Katrina (Scott); and his great grandchildren, Carter, Chase, Quinn, Shelby, Hillary, Roddy, Gracie, Lydia, Cali, Colby, James, Emma, Cole, Kinsley, Audrey and Leah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
