He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Simonson and Ezma Simonson (MacLean). He is survived by: his sisters, Margaret Zyzniewski of Saskatchewan and Erma Creighton of Dalhousie. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Due to covid pandemic a private graveside service for immediate family only will be held at the New Mills protestant cemetery at later date.
