He is survived by: his children, Christine Richard (Brian) of Moncton, Amanda Chiasson (Claude) of Bathurst and Eric Richard of Red Deer, Alberta.; his grandchildren, Melissa Lavoie and Nicholas Richard; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Joseph Lavoie; and his siblings, Rita Roy of Bathurst, Alice Bertin (Norman) of Bathurst, Theresa Biseau of Bathurst, Lidia Courier of Dalhousie, Elizabeth Harding (Cecil) of Ottawa, Edmond Richard (Stella) of Bathurst, Leander Richard of New Mills and George Richard of Ottawa.

Donations in memory of Edward may be made to the Oncology Department or Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital or to a charity of the donor's choice.
