He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Merrithew (Earl) and Irvine Jewett; and his brothers, Earl Jr. "Toag" Merrithew and Leon Merrithew. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Jewett (Ward); his stepsons, Rod Ward (Lori) and Jamie Ward (Dave Ivany); and his siblings, Joyce Allen (Fred), Hazen Jewett (Darlene), Lester Jewett (Donna) and Charlotte Evans (Steven). He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or the Canadian Liver Foundation.
