She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Stright and Mildred Stright (Tower); and her siblings, Violet, Ada, Frederick, Shane and Glenn.

She is survived by: her husband Stanley of Murray Corner, NB; her children, Shelley Rafuse (Jason) of Lawrencetown, NS, Cory Gilhen of Enfield, NS, Shawn Gilhen (Valerie) of Hay River, NWT, Michael Gilhen of Eastern Passage, NS, Stephanie Gilhen of Lake Echo, NS and Natalie Killeen (Rodney) of Lake Echo, NS; her grandchildren, Brittany, Aimee, John, Augustus, Isabel, Mikala and Ryleigh-Ann; and her siblings, Helen, Elizabeth, Brayden, Starr and Peter. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
