He was predeceased by: his parents, Elroy MacDonald and Bessie MacDonald (Woods); his son Gregory MacDonald; his granddaughter Cassidy Beers; and his sister Drusilla Kingston (late Elmer).
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Matthews (David) of Moncton, Marcus MacDonald (Paula Belliveau) of Shediac Bridge, Lisa Beers (Todd) of St and Paul; his grandchildren, Jordan, Colin Matthews, Madison Beers, Hannah and Jillian MacDonald (Marie Thompson) of Mundleville; his siblings, Ellen Smith (late Lawrence) of Moncton, Erma Thompson (late David) of St. Catherines, ON, Della Journeay (Ralph) of Welland, ON and Burton (Leona) of Kouchibouguac; and his former spouse Shirley MacDonald of Moncton, NB.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
