He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Gilchrist and Evelyn Gilchrist (McLeod); and his sister Vicky Gilchrist. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Gilchrist; his daughter Alison Gilchrist; and his grandchildren, Jordan and Christian Prowse.
