He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl O'Brien and Lillian O'Brien (Bell); his wife Gail; his children, Jeremy (Melody) and Sarah (Marc); his grandchildren, Jace and Madilyn O'Brien; his siblings, Gary O'Brien (Aline), Gail Kirk (late Ken), Judy Steeves (Stevie) and Donna Colpitts (Denis); and his aunts, Jean Fowler, Joyce Bussey and Phyllis Parks. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bill was never one for funerals, so the family has opted to wait until Covid-19 is over and it is safe to gather, to celebrate Bill's life.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you do something kind, help a neighbour or friend, root for the Chicago Blackhawks for the cup, or raise a glass in his honor.
