He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Russell and Theresa Russell (Drisdelle); his son Joseph; his siblings, Dolphus Russell (late Therese), Dorca Daigle (late Patrick), Roland Russell (late Mabel), Norman Russell (late Yvonne) and Mabel Caissie (late Edmond); his brother-in-law Basil Gallant; and his siblings, Stanley and Esther.

He is survived by: his wife Germaine (Lavoie); his children, Harvey Russell (Danielle), Linda Goodwin (Vincent) and Terry Russell (Darlene); his grandchildren, Steve of Roxanne, MJ, Ashley, Ryan and Victoria; his great grandchildren, Nataya, Alyssa, Merissa, Brooklyn and Dorian; and his siblings, Roger Russell, Allen Russell (Carolyn) and Jane Gallant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Remembrances in Walter's memory made to the Alzheimer's Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
