Violet May Melvin Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet May Melvin of Moncton, New Brunswick, who passed away on November 26, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Bovard and Greta Bovard (Smith); her brother Billy Bovard; her brother-in-law Richard Mellish; and her stepparents, Arthur Leger and Alice Bovard.

She is survived by: her husband John M. Melvin; her children, Susan Alward (Paul), Beverly Haines (Frank) of Lower Coverdale, Karen Sanford (Andy), Holly Carson (Greg) of Elgin, Cindy Alcorn (Grant) of Saint John and Merle Melvin (Michelle) of Riverview; her sister Evelyn Mellish of Moncton; her half-sister Donna Mossman (Doug); her brother Gerald Bovard (Freda); and her half-brothers, Terry Leger of Moncton, Tim Leger (Coleen) of Moncton and Clifford Leger. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren, also survived by several nieces and, nephews.

Donations in Violet's memory may be made to Parkside Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
