It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valerie Melanson (Moncton, New Brunswick), who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Melanson and Edna Melanson (Babineau); his siblings, Doris, Loretta, Leo and Edwin; and his stepdaughter Marianne Duguay.

He is survived by: his close friend Mary Mallery; his son Andy Melanson; his stepchildren, William Mallery (Lillian), Julia Arsenault (Bernard), Arthur Mallery (Shelly), Kathy Cullen (Lorne) and Brian Mallery (Debbie); his grandchildren, Angel, Tammy, Paula, Ryan, Mary Lynn, Joshua, Jessalyn, Justin, Adam, Jeremiah, Tyler, Kayla, Sullivan, Jesse and Shelby; and his siblings, Jerry Melanson (Lois), Aquilla Melanson (Dianne), Amos Melanson, Laurie Melanson and Harvey Melanson. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations in Valerie's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the MS Society.
