He is survived by: his wife Ingrid McPhee; his siblings, David Whittaker (Bonnie), Kim Whittaker, Michael Whittaker (Cindy) and Beth Tingley (Dwayne); his children, Rhonda Whittaker (Troy McInnis), Peter Whittaker and David Whittaker (Laura); his stepdaughters, Christine Stewart (Josh) and Courtney McPhee (Thomas Baltzer); and his father-in-law Peter Martenyi. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Moncton Headstart Inc., the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre, Friends of the Moncton Hospital, or a charity of the donor's choice.
